The most accurate, highest quality results

and clinically-relevant information are provided to help you deliver the best possible patient care.
Physicians receive decisive and detailed diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic information
through our tissue pathology test results.
For the best-quality service, we regularly participate in the assessments for accreditation by official
organizations including Korean Society of Pathologists, Korean Society of Cytopathology, College of American
Pathologists, UK NEQAS (National External Quality Assurance Society) and have national expert consultation network
with university hospital pathology professors and the state-of-the-art technologies for immunohistochemical and
molecular pathologic examination.

The cutting-edge laboratory technologies and the latest knowledge enable us to be committed to patient-oriented practice in medicine with the most accurate diagnosis for effective treatment and provide solution of molecular eligibility tests for global clinical trials as a part of development of targeted therapeutics.

about Pathology

Histopathology

In order to decide on the clinical stage after a surgery, we diagnose not only malignant tumors but also benign tumors and non-tumor disorders through H&E staining and special staining of all biopsy or surgery samples. By making use of night-time shifts and PELORIS (rapid tissue processor,) we have systematized our tissue handling process to produce results swiftly within two hours, thus making possible to maintain short TAT (turnaround time) and the appropriate slide production tasks.

Immunopathology

Immunopathology helps us to diagnose by using antibody reactions that occur in response to specific antibodies that are expressed in the cells, to make possible the classification of types and origin of cells, and to decide on which drugs or prognostic methods to use. Currently, we possesses 68 types of antibodies, and we are focused on providing excellent immunohistochemical staining quality and accurate deciphering through the latest automated equipment and quality control from international institutions.

Cytopathology

To provide accurate information for early diagnosis of a disease and for deciding on the possibility of relapse after treatment through observing cell configuration, we conduct screening tests and expert reading for body fluid tests (urine, mucus, peritoneal fluid, pleural fluid, etc.), needle aspiration tests (thyroid mass, breast mass, etc.), and uterovaginal smear tests.

Molecular Pathology

As data on molecular pathology are essential in anticancer drug development, tailored treatment, and prognosis, we conduct cutting edge molecular pathology tests such as polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for B-raf mutation detection and TCR/Ig rearrangement, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) for HER2 amplification, ALK translocation, MDM2 amplification silver in situ hybridization (SISH) for HER2 amplification, DNA-based sequencing for EGFR mutation and K-ras mutation, microsatellite instability (MSI) etc. with experienced pathology experts in charge of deciphering.
